DAY 1

06:00 a.m.             Departure from Sunny beach.

10:45 a.m.             Arrival in Plovdiv. Sightseeing tour. The ancient Plovdiv is a place for unforgettable journey trough the romantics of the Revival. The labyrinth of cobblestone streets is seeded with colourful houses with unique interior decorations, wall-paintings, cosy inner courtyards. The walking tour of the Old Quarter features old period houses and cobbled streets, visit to St. Constantine and Helena church and free time.

Lunch

02:30 p.m.          Arrival in Sofia. Sightseeing tour of the capital’s main landmarks (St. Alexander Nevski Cathedral, the National Assembly building, St. Nicholas Russian Church, the Royal Palace, the Presidency, the Council of Ministers, St. Petka Church, St. George Rotunda and St. Nedelya Church), the Russian church with the tomb of Аrchibishop Seraphim. Free time.

05:30 p.m.           Departure in Rila monastery.

Check-in in the hotel/ 3 * /. Dinner. Overnight.

06:00 am  Early morning departure, followed by a picturesque drive inland to Sofia

Lunch in Sofia

A walking tour of the main landmarks of the capital (St. Alexander Nevski Cathedral, the National Assembly building, St. Nicholas Russian Church, the Royal Palace, the Presidency, the Council of Ministers, St. Petka Church, St. George Rotunda and St. Nedelya Church)

Late afternoon departure to Rila Monastery; Dinner and overnight in the vicinity of the monastery;

Day 2

Attendance of the early morning service in the main monastery church

Breakfast

Sightseeing tour of Rila Monastery – the biggest and most beautiful one in the country, an excellent example of the Bulgarian Revival; monastery tour and time at leisure;

Departure to Rupite – a country veiled in the halo of the mystic energy of the Seer Vanga who chose to spend the last days of her life here; Free time to explore the complex around the temple “St. Petka of Bulgaria”;

Lunch

Visit to the museum-house- where Vanga lived until the beginning of the 1990s

Arrival in Bucharest at noon. Panoramic bus tour of downtown Bucharest featuring Uniri Square, University Square, Victoria Square and the Square of the Revolution;

Photo stop in front of the Parliament – the second largest administrative building in the world after the Pentagon combining a monumental exterior with a splendid interior;

Walking tour in the Old Quarter of Lipscani built on the site of the oldest populated region of Bucharest – a charming quarter with cobbled streets and numerous bizarre art antique shops and boutiques, bookstores, theatres and countless cafes, bars and restaurants;

Free time for lunch;

Afternoon departure to Sinaia and Bran;

Day 2

Breakfast

Morning visit to the Hunting Residence of the Romanian Prince Vlad, built in 14th century upon a 60 m high rock, commonly known as Dracula’s Castle.

Free time for lunch

Departure to Sinaia. Visit of Peles Palace – the former summer residence of the Romanian kings in 18-19. centuries; today beautifully recreating the old-time interior and atmosphere. Visit of Sinaia Monastery dating back to 17th  century, one of the most sacred Christian sites also possessing a rich collection of valuable icons.

Afternoon departure to Bulgaria and late evening return.
