  • Departure to Nessebar. One of the oldest towns in Bulgaria, Nessebar has since 1983 been included in the UNESCO list of world cultural monuments. The old quarter of the town, situated on the Nessebar peninsula and linked to the mainland by a narrow isthmus, is a meeting place of bygone times.
  • This walking tour offers the visitors of Nessebar to get some insight of a Bulgarian city, ancient part of which is placed on a peninsula. Nessebar’s first settlements are dated II centuries B.C. Walking along narrow streets, each corner of which is going to tell you a fascinating story from the long-distant past of the place, you will get an opportunity to visit Christ Pantokrat’s church, than churches of St. Stefan and St. Ioan Aliturghetos. a.s.

ZHERAVNA – SLIVEN – WINE TASTING

  • Arrival in Zheravna. Zheravna is an architectural reserve of national importance consisting of more than 200 wooden houses from the Bulgarian National Revival period (18th and 19th century). Walking tour of the village and a visit to Russi Chorbadzhi house. Time has stopped here… You won’t see people hurry for work or anything else. Life is passing with the typical tranquility of the mountain villages living.
  • Lunch
  • Departure to town of Sliven. Photo pause in the” Karandila” area An opportunity for an open-air chair-lift ride down the slopes of the (extra charge 5 EUR for the factory visit).
  • Brief stop in Sliven and visit to the shop of the crystal.
  • Departure to Karnobat. The next stop is the Minkov Brothers winery. In 1875, devoted to their greatest passion, winemaking, the Minkov brothers found a wine cellar in the trade-and-craft centre of the town of Karnobat. The brothers’ exceptional wines and the Karnobat area winemaking traditions led to great success – a gold medal from the Brussels Wine Fair of 1894. There the Minkov Brothers wines age at natural  temperatures in more than 6,000 barriques made of American and French oak.

  • Arrival in Veliko Turnovo – the mediaeval capital of Bulgaria. Visit to the historical Tsarevets Hill – a walk around the mediaeval fortress walls and palaces, witnesses of the old Bulgarian capital’s glory.

  • Visit to Samovodene Market Street with the opportunity to see the craftsmen at work – free time. /Optional visit to the Park of Bulgaria in Miniatures./
  • Late afternoon visit to the village of Arbanassi – the favourite summer residence for the high officials from the capital city of Turnovo and an important trade center later. Today the village is declared an architectural reserve possessing numerous historical buildings and the houses of the old merchants resembling impregnable fortress from outside but with beautifully decorated interior.
  • Visit to the “Holy Mother of God” Arbanassi Monastery, founded in the 12. century, having in display precious 16th century wall paintings. The monastery also treasures the miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary.

  • Walking tour in the Old Quarter of Lipscani built on the site of the oldest populated region of Bucharest – a charming quarter with cobbled streets and numerous bizarre art antique shops and boutiques, bookstores, theaters and countless cafes, bars and restaurants.
  • Free time for lunch
  • Afternoon visit to Mogosoaia Palace, built in 17th century by Prince Constantine Brankovyanu.  Picturesquely located next to a lake the castle strikes with its beautiful park and architecture – a mixture of Oriental and Venecian details in the style of the Romanian Renaissance. The palace has been the favourite holiday place for the Vlach officials. Nowadays it is a favourite place with the Romanian artistic world.
